Hannah's Pool Party will be on Saturday, May 22nd, at Grenfell Pool from 1:00pm-3:00pm. We'll have hot dogs, ice cream cake, a piƱata, and lots of splashing around. Don't forget a towel and your swimsuit!

On this website you'll find directions to the pool, a section to RSVP, as well as more info about entering Pearl Harbor if you are a civilian.

Aloha!

(FYI, Grenfell Pool varies in depth from 3-8ft. and has a fun little waterslide. There is always at least one lifeguard present so everyone should have a great, and safe, time!)

Map and Directions to Grenfell Pool

Building 1180, Pearl Harbor

Directions from the NEX (the intersection of Radford Dr. and Bougainville Dr.):

map Drive West on Radford Drive, over H1,  towards Kamehameha Hwy. At the intersection of Kamehameha and Radford is the Makalapa gate at Pearl Harbor. Continue on Radford and enter through the gate.

At the next traffic light, turn right on North St.  Continue for .5 miles.  Turn left at the Submarine Piers entrance. (The first time I went to this poolgas station I passed this street a couple of times.  It’s a small street without a visible street name. On the right, you’ll see a gas station and on the left, you’ll see these $ where you should turn.)

guard shack Immediately after you turn, you’ll see a guard shack. Turn left again, before you reach it. There will be a stop signGrenfell as soon as you turn. Continue going straight up a small hill until you reach the swimming pool parking lot.  Parking is limited so you may have to park in the small lot at the bottom of the hill.

shane st If you are familiar with this pool, you probably already know there is another entrance off of North Street. Grenfell PoolYou can turn left on Shane Street (where the Minimart and Subway are). You may park in the lot for the Beeman Center and enter the pool from the Shane St entrance.

Hope to see you there!

Mahalo!

For all non-military guests

Since the party is on a military installation, a few extra steps have to be taken to attend the party. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience and we really hope to still see you at Hannah's pool party.

On party day, all non-military party guests must go to the Pass/ID window to enter Pearl Harbor. This is at the main Pearl Harbor entrance on Nimitz/92. They will issue you a 1 day pass to get on base. To be granted a 1 day pass, by Wednesday, May 19th, I need to notify base security of the guests and the vehicles they should be expecting. They need to know the name of each person that will be in your car. Security also needs (by May 19th) the year, color, make and model, as well as the license plate number of your car. You may call or e-mail this information to me.

On the day of the party you must present proof of insurance and vehicle registration. All vehicle safety requirements must be current. Additionally, every guest over the age of 16 has to have a photo id with them on the day of the party and the driver of the car must have a valid driver's license.

Once again, I apologize for all of the hoops you have to jump through. One big benefit to having the party on base is there will definitely be at least one lifeguard present, which is important to us. (Safety first!) We certainly don't want to discourage the attendance of any of Hannah's civilian friends so I hope to meet you soon!

Give me a call or e-mail me if you have any questions!

Aloha,
Lauri

BTW, the directions to the pool only vary slightly when entering from the Nimitz gate. Once you are on base, take a right onto North Street. Proceed exactly 1 mile (and through two traffic lights) until you see the gas station on the right. Please see directions above for details from this point.
